The selection process for SSC GD Constable 2026 consists of four main stages:

The paper is objective type with multiple choice questions. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are twenty percent for reserved categories, twenty five percent for OBC and EWS, and thirty percent for unreserved candidates.
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 3 with basic pay in the range of ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 along with allowances as per government norms. For Sepoy in certain departments, starting basic pay may be lower as per rules, while for Constable General Duty posts in CAPFs the basic pay is in Pay Level 3.
The admit card for SSC GD Constable 2026 will be uploaded region wise on the SSC website before the examination. Candidates have to download it using their registration details and carry a printed copy along with a valid photo identity document to the exam centre.
The SSC GD 2026 cut off will be released after each stage of the selection process. Cut off marks are the minimum scores required to qualify for the next stage and are published separately for different categories and forces.
